Acupuncture Assistant (30 hours/week)

Charm City Healing Acupuncture and Wellness is the premier holistic healing center in Baltimore, MD. For 12 years, we’ve provided personalized healthcare through our unique combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and integrative therapies, helping patients rebalance, revitalize, and heal by harnessing the natural power of their body.

We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Acupuncture Assistant to support our clinic in Locust Point, South Baltimore.

About the Role

This is a vital, hands-on position, not a desk job. You’ll be on your feet, moving with purpose, and actively supporting patient care throughout the day. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting the practitioner with holistic treatments including gua sha, moxa, ATP, EAM, and ozone therapy. This role requires comfort with physical touch and direct patient contact.
• Preparing and resetting treatment rooms between patient visits and after clinic, daily charting and documentation, and supporting the Clinical Director in updating treatment plans, preparing daily schedules, and tracking patient progress.
• Building and maintaining warm, therapeutic, and professional relationships with patients throughout their treatment journeys. You are part of the “healing presence” patients feel the moment they walk in. You’ll be a bridge between patients and the clinical team, keeping everyone informed about patient experience

• Physically Active and Wellness-Minded: You thrive being on your feet and on the move. Expect to be standing and walking and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the day. You prioritize your own health and bring that energy into everything you do.
• Punctual and Reliable: Our team is small and very synchronized. Being on time isn’t a preference, it’s essential. A seamless patient experience depends on everyone showing up ready.
• Passionate For Holistic Health: You have a sincere interest in wellness and alternative medicine and a real desire to help people heal. We are looking for someone to bring this passion to the clinic each day.
• Healthcare or wellness experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right candidate with the right drive, spirit, and work ethic. A touch of mind-reading skills wouldn’t hurt either!
• If you have experience or a natural eye for short-form video, photography, or aesthetic storytelling, and are looking to put these skills to use, we’d love your help capturing the magic of the clinic for our social channels.

Position Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for a full 7 to 8 hour shift.
• Reliable availability during our clinic hours:
• Mon / Wed: 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM
• Tue / Thu: 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Friday: Mornings at first during training/onboarding, then potentially remote completing weekly tasks.
• 4 to 6 days per year for local community events (typically on weekends)

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $20 to $25/hour, depending on experience, plus discretionary bonuses.
