What services do you offer at Charm City Healing Acupuncture & Wellness?

As a premier wellness practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine – a 3,000 year old tradition – we use Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Integrative Therapies to treat conditions that are not well-addressed by western healthcare.

What can I expect during a consultation?

All patients begin their wellness journey with a 30 minute consultation (in-office or virtual) with Angela Becker, LAc. During your appointment, Angie will review your medical history, listen closely to understand your goals, conduct a detailed evaluation, and recommend a Treatment Program best suited to your unique situation. You can get started immediately that day after your consultation if you are ready! Note that we charge a $50 consultation fee which will be applied to any services you purchase.

What is included in my Treatment Program?

A Treatment Program consists of a set number of in-office acupuncture sessions, along with alternative therapies, custom herbal formulations, and lifestyle & supplement recommendations. Each session, usually around 45 minutes, includes 1-on-1 time with Angie to discuss your progress. You also get direct access through our Patient Portal if you have questions between sessions. 

How long will it take to resolve my symptoms and what is the cost?

Depending on your condition, your Treatment Program will range from 1-3 months. We recommend a minimum of 1-2 weekly sessions over the course of your treatment to see positive results. Depending on their frequency, you can expect an investment of $100-$200 per session. We offer various payment options that will be discussed during your consultation.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are In-Network with Johns Hopkins EHP. While we are out of network with all other insurance plans, we can provide super bills for you to submit claims for reimbursement to your carrier. During the onboarding process we will review your basic acupuncture/fertility benefits including your remaining deductible, however the cost of treatment is ultimately the patient’s responsibility.

Can I just come in for one session? 

Patients often feel some relief after a treatment, but in our experience single sessions are not effective in addressing underlying diagnoses. Success requires patience and dedication, and we always recommend a Treatment Plan to manage your condition. 

I’m a skeptic. Am I a good fit for working with Charm City Healing?

It’s normal to have doubts when trying something new. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, and natural therapy is not a “belief system” – it’s a practice that has been around for thousands of years. In many parts of the world, traditional healing techniques are part of standard medical care. 

Patients who are a good fit typically have a curious spirit and want to be active participants in their wellness journey. Many of our patients are in the care of other medical practitioners and are looking for a complementary, hands-on treatment that is safe and natural. Ultimately, skeptics turn into advocates and regularly recommend us to their friends and loved ones.
